It's a new day....and a new way!

Hi! I'm Steve. One half of Steve and Joan. Just wanted to take a minute and introduce myself. I'm a native born Floridian that's fast approaching the end of my 'working for a living' career and comtemplating what my 'real retirement' is going to be like. Joan and I have been together for a little over 4 years now and still having more fun than we thought possible. We met through a mutual friend that knew we both enjoyed motorcycling. You may have deduced that from the 'avatar'. Actually that is a good story that I'll have to share in another blog. Originally it was just FOS - Friends of Steve. Now it's FOSJ.

It didn't take long for us to determine we both had a desire to see different parts of the US, so we bought a small 25' RV in '07 as an experiment. We used it for weekend motorcycle outings and softball tournaments. Then in June of this year we used it as the tow vehicle for our annual motorcycle vacation. We loaded it up with 3 couples and a 22' trailer with 4 motorcycles and headed to West Virginia. The trip was great and very educational. We learned a lot including the fact that RVing was for us and we needed a bigger RV. So we sold the 25' gasser and bought a 40' diesel pusher.

Joan and I are planning to become fulltime RVers within the next 3-5 years. We know there is a lot we have do to between now and then to prepare. And I expect there will be a lot of interesting stuff that might be worth sharing as we learn and experience. That's where the blog comes in.

Stop by anytime. I hope you enjoy reading as much as I enjoy sharing.
