How Long Has It Been?

March 19, 2013 marks the One Year Anniversary that Joan and I have been on the road living in our RV. We left Florida last year headed to Oregon and the start of our adventure. And what a year it's been. We've been trying to think of a way to share with you all the wonderful things we've seen during the course of our first year. But to be honest there's just too much to condense into a single blog. So we poured over all of our pics and selected the ones below just to give you a small snapshot..........

We start our second year with two weeks left at Lake Mead. Then we're headed to Nathrop, CO to work at Chalk Creek Campground for the summer. And we're planning on returning to Lake Mead this fall as we've accepted a position Road Monitoring. Sounds fun. So we at least have an idea where we'll be, but neither one of us has any idea as to all the things we're liable to see and do during this next year.

Stay Tuned. More to Come

  2. Thanks for commenting on our blog! I thought I would take a minute to check out your site. Boy, do we have a lot in common! I could have been following our blog. We've been to so many of the same places. And we use to trailer a motorcycle. We had a tandom trailer the held our Harley Ultra Classic across the front and our car front end. After two and half years of hauling it around and using it very little, we decided it was time for a change. So while in Bakersfield, CA we sold the bike and trailer on Craig's List and traded the car for a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. We've always wanted the Jeep but couldn't tow it on the trailer. I was never comfortable with the idea of a lift on the back of the MH. So we skipped the Jeep. But, boy are we loving it! We purchased it just before our trip to Sedona. Our travels for the last six months have been Jeep kinda things. We can still enjoy the surroundings with the top off the Jeep but we'll never get that same view we did with the bike. But for now we are glad we made the decision.

Too bad we did see your blog before you came to Zion. We could have caught up.

We will probably get to CO by the end of May, early June. Right now our plan is for three months visiting the parks in southern Utah.

Travel safe and continuing the good life!
